On June 4, 2010, the Institute convened architects, planners, public health specialists, representatives from NGOs, and government officials from both Haiti and the United States for the Rebuilding a Sustainable Haiti symposium at the Cooper Union’s Rose Auditorium to identify specific needs in the Haitian recovery effort, and develop an action plan to address them. Almost 200 people attended the symposium from around the US, and the world, with attendees coming from as far afield as Spain and Sri Lanka.
