Two New Fellows

We’re pleased to announce that two new Fellows have joined the Institute: Mark Gardner and Stephan Jaklitsch, partners at Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects in New York City. We’re very excited to have Mark and Stephan involved. New Fellows: Justin V. Allen & Stephen Sears

We’re pleased to announce the addition of two new Fellows to our community of urbanists. Justin V. Allen, based in New York and Buenos Aires, is a developer and co-founder of Design Developments Group. Stephen Sears is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Department of Landscape Architecture. Welcome to both!

We’d like to welcome our newest Fellow, Greg Haley, AIA AICP LEED AP, a Senior Architect at Grimshaw’s NYC office, where he is currently helping to oversee the construction of the MTA’s Fulton Street Transit Center. Greg received his Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard.

We’re happy to announce Andrew Bernheimer, of Brooklyn-based Della Valle Bernheimer as the Institute’s newest Fellow. If you’ll be in Columbus on April 20, you can see Andrew speak at OSU’s Knowlton School of Architecture; for those of you not planning a trip to Ohio, you can check out DVB’s über-efficient R-House prototype, which was recently featured over at Jetson Green.

Our community of Fellows continues to grow. This month, we’ve added Gabriel Charles, the Manager of Planning for the Central District in Oakville, Ontario, and John Palmieri, Director of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, who rejoined the Institute after a two-year absence. Welcome to both!

We have three new Fellows to announce: Gretchen Bank, a strategic marketing consultant and current director of the AIANY Marketing & Public Relations Committee; Eric Lee, the president of management consultancy Bennett Midland LLC, which specializes in projects for public, non-profit, and civic organizations; and Darius Sollohub, the newly-appointed director of the College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
