Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union Anthony Vidler invites you to Architecture at Cooper 1859-2009 at the The Arthur A. Houghton Jr. Gallery, The Cooper Union, on view from October 23rd to December 4th, 2009. The opening reception is Friday, 23 October, from 6-8 PM;Architecture at Cooper 1859-2009 traces the successive transformations of Cooper Union’s architecture, beginning with its landmarked, 19th century brownstone Foundation Building designed by Frederick Petersen — to its new academic building at 41 Cooper Square designed by Thom Mayne, Institute board member.

Emerging Exchanges: New Architecture of India

“Emerging Exchanges: New Architecture of India”, a two day symposium convened by Institute fellow Brian McGrath and Kazi Ashraf, was organized by The Architectural League of New York, the India China Institute of The New School, and Parsons The New School for Design. Institute board members Anthony Vidler and Michael Sorkin participated among many other distinguished figures.
