Institute board member and Dean of The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union Anthony Vidler invites you to Architecture at Cooper 1859-2009 at the The Arthur A. Houghton Jr. Gallery, The Cooper Union, on view from October 23rd to December 4th, 2009. The opening reception is Friday, 23 October, from 6-8 PM;Architecture at Cooper 1859-2009 traces the successive transformations of Cooper Union’s architecture, beginning with its landmarked, 19th century brownstone Foundation Building designed by Frederick Petersen — to its new academic building at 41 Cooper Square designed by Thom Mayne, Institute board member.
